Method 1: measure your finger

Wrap a thin strip of paper or a string around the base of your finger.
Mark the point where it overlaps. It should be snug but still slide over the knuckle.
Lay it flat and measure the length in millimetres. This is your circumference (C).

Your EU size is the same number as your circumference in millimetres: 57 mm is size 57.

Method 2: measure a ring you already own

Take a ring that fits the finger you plan to wear the new one on.
Place it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter (D) from edge to edge, in millimetres.
Type it above, or find the closest diameter in the chart.

Method 3: ask a jeweller

Any local jewellery shop can measure your finger in a minute, usually for free.

Tips for an accurate measurement

Measure at the end of the day, when your fingers are at their largest.
Avoid measuring with cold hands. Fingers shrink in the cold and swell in the heat.
If your knuckle is wider than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size in between.
Your dominant hand is usually slightly larger.
Between two sizes? Choose the larger one.
Measure two or three times to be sure.
